I am so excited to introduce Liberty Lake to you today - another pattern that has been circling around in my abyss of quilt patterns for many months!  There are now only 7 quilt patterns waiting in the wings to be revealed, all in various stages - some waiting to be written, a few waiting for a quilt sample to be made, and one is just waiting to be bound.

So here is Liberty Lake.  Sigh.  I love her sweetness!  This fabric is English Tea by Connecting Threads.

Liberty Lake quilt pattern is available in the BusyHandsQuilts shop.

I just love the giant radiating star design.  Did you notice that each fabric circles around the quilt in and out of the star points?  This was so fun to design and sew up!

The version below is made from Impressions by Connecting Threads.  I love this collection of graduating whites, creams, grays, and black in subtle tone-on-tones.  This collection has the neatest newsprint fabric, which I used on the backing of this quilt.

Do you ever wonder how quilt patterns are named?  Me too.  It's still a real mystery.  Liberty Lake is so named because my son moved to a town called Liberty Lake while I was working on this design.  Real original, right?!?  :)

Liberty Lake includes three sizes - Throw, Queen, and King - and block size increases in the larger quilts, so you get exactly the same design but don't have to make more blocks; just bigger blocks.  This makes those large sizes quite easy indeed!  And we all love that!  :)

The instructions include directions on how to press seams so the entire quilt top nests, which hyper speeds up the process when nary a pin is required in quilt top assembly {...and that tickles me!}
